Customer
The Customer is DHL Express (Hellas) SA, local office of the world's leading postal and transport company Deutsche Post DHL Group. DHL is present in more than 220 countries and territories around the world, making it the most international company in the world.
Purpose
Our Client wanted to be able to search and find video recordings (BOSCH CCTV) of parcels moving on the conveyor belt. Each parcel passes through the scanning point (DATALOGIC) where the PCIDs are automatically stored on the server and thus the video of that moment on the BOSCH BVMS internal storage server.
As iBS became the Customer's technology partner of choice, the list of identified challenges grew to include the following for the development team to address:

Solution
The Datalogic integrator sends all scan strings over the TCP port to our system. The system listener cleans incoming strings and organizes them for future filtering and use.
DHL employees using our app can enter a PCID (Parcel Barcode) and the app will provide information about when that particular parcel was seen on CCTV cameras. Also, they can easily justify – focus on the required video footage and save screenshots, for future use.
