Microsoft Price Increases

April 1, 2023: 12% price increase on all Cloud CSP products

Why is this increase applied?

In January, Microsoft announced a increase in the prices of all Cloud products, as well as a more general change in how these products will be priced from now on. More specifically, in addition to the increase that has already been announced, the price lists of Cloud products will now be revised on a six-monthly basis, following any changes in the Euro-Dollar exchange rate. This means that every six months there will likely be either increases or decreases in prices, which as always will not affect current subscriptions but new purchases and renewals.

The purpose of this change is to align the catalogs with the value of the dollar, since for several years the exchange rate was locked by Microsoft at low levels and is no longer in line with the real one.

Which products are affected and which are excluded?

This increase will be applied to all Cloud products and all licensing programs. That is, it will not only affect the CSP program, but also all Volume License / Enterprise contracts as well as direct purchases from Microsoft. This means you will also see corresponding increases in M365, Dynamics 365 and Azure Credits products in the Open Value and Open Value Subscription programs.

How does this change affect end customers?

The increase comes from Microsoft and affects both distribution costs and suggested retail prices. So, from April 1, new purchases and renewals will be made with the increased prices. Beyond that, this new logic of Microsoft will add an additional "fluidity" to the prices, since now every six months there will be a possibility of even small fluctuations.
